Post-Doctoral Research Opportunity

Laboratory: The U.S. Food & Drug Administration/National Center For Toxicological Research

Description: A position is immediately available for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct studies of pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and mechanisms for botanical estrogens. The successful candidate will need strong analytical skills to characterize and quantify estrogenic compounds and their metabolites in plasma, urine, and tissues. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to master qualitative and quantitative aspects of modern atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry. The successful candidate will be supported by strong instrumental resources, including 4 triple quadrupole mass spectrometers and a hybrid Q-Tof/Ion Mobility Spectrometer, all equipped with UPLCs.

Qualifications: An earned Ph. D. in Toxicology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or equivalent is required. Experience in mass spectrometry, chromatographic separations, pharmacokinetics, PBPK modeling, and drug metabolism is desirable.
